Following the special emphasis and support of the respected CEO SARVAK AZAR Engineering and Development Co. on the importance of technology transfer in the Azar Oil Field development project, and in line with the policies announced by the honorable Ministry of Oil regarding maximum support for domestic productions and knowledge-based enterprise s, we are proud to announce that the experts of the upstream have designed and built Swellable Packer-Water Swell for the first time in Iran and in cooperation with one of the impressive domestic groups affiliated to Sharif University of Technology. The establishment of this enterprise throughout a six-month research and development process, as well as the construction of laboratory and workshop prototypes, resulted in the construction of the final product, and following the completion of the reservoir hole of the Azar field wastewater injection well, the lining string of this well, along with this ball, was placed in the well on November 27, 2019, and was successfully installed and operated in the final position.
throughout the design and construction of this product, all necessary engineering and operational considerations were simulated in the real conditions of the Azar 21 well and tested with the used drilling fluid sample, ensuring its performance. This technology, which has many applications in today's production technologies, is very effective at separating the layers in the tile space behind the wall and lining pipes, as well as preventing interaction between different layers in the tile space. In this regard, in addition to increasing the well's life and quality, exploitation operations can be carried out with complete confidence in the well's integrity.
Given the success of this equipment in the field's wastewater injection well, its Oil Swell sample is scheduled to be used in one of the field's repair wells next week. It is envisioned that with the successful use of this equipment, the field test cycle in both water and oil environments will be completed; therefore, using this technology in the country's petroleum industry will be an important step in solving well integrity problems, changing the method of stimulation, and increasing well productivity.
