In line with SARVAK AZAR Engineering and Development Company's public relations report, the design, construction, and operation of the oil skimmer from the water surface of the evaporation ponds of the Azar Oil Field was successfully finished in July this year for the first time with the presence of technical representatives from Iran University of Science and Technology and SARVAK AZAR Engineering and Development.
It is worth noting that due to the lack of completion and full operation of the wastewater treatment unit of the Azar Oil Field facilities and the non-finalization of the construction of the wastewater injection pumps with a pressure higher than 325 bar relative, the wastewater sent to the evaporation pond contains oil waste that with the passage of time and the density difference between water and oil, the surface of the water in the evaporation ponds was covered with a thin layer.
In this regard, SARVAK AZAR Engineering and Development Co., to fulfill its responsibility to protect the region's ecology to the greatest extent feasible, has put on its agenda how to collect and purify petroleum-contaminated water.
To address this issue, the enterprise's managers and experts organized an appointment and negotiations with researchers and academic centers to support national production and the growth of domestic industries, resulting in a contract with the Iran University of Science and Technology.
As a result of the collaboration and technical expertise of Iran University of Science and Technology and SARVAK AZAR Engineering and Development Company, the process of designing, manufacturing, testing, and operationalizing the oil pollution collection device was completed successfully in 35 days.
To solve this issue, the Iran University of Science and Technology utilized the "Powerpack" power generation set, skimmer float, and diesel engine with a power output of 30 kW, all in the form of a complete package; and collected oil stains with all logistics facilities.
Among the advantages of the producing and using this technology, which is produced domestically and nationally, we can address the significant cost reduction of up to ten times in compare to that of foreign samples, as well as a much shorter time from the ordering stage to construction.
